I think the people above the hole didn’t know that I basically took over this trap for myself but they kept dumping more Exo-Knights into the hole.

Which means I was literally just getting free kills to the point my gun ran out of ammo.

No big deal, I just had to pick up another weapon off one of the corpses that were littered around the place and continue my killing spree.

Eventually, I think the leader returned to tell them that their trap was being used by someone else so they tried to come down into the hole together to take me out.

But a quick flash from my light blinded them and I easily took them out with a few shots from a grenade launcher I picked up, just in time for the simulation to end.

A small window popped up to show that the test had ended and the lights in the capsule dimmed as the machine shut itself down.

The pod then opened up, allowing me to step out of it at the same time as everyone else.

It was clear who were confident of their points and who wasn’t confident of them by how they were leaving their pods.

A lot of them had downcast expressions on their faces and it looked like they already knew they wouldn’t be able to pass this test.

Then there’s the few who stepped out with their chest thrust forward confidently and a big smile plastered on their face.

Honestly, I wasn’t really sure if I had enough points since I had to stop paying attention to it while fighting in that trap. It was just a constant battle the entire time and I had to focus all my attention in remembering my opponents’ position with each flash and had no time to care about anything else.

My girls immediately crowded around me and it looked like they were quite confident in their results.

"Tera! How did you do?!" Amber asked, practically bouncing in excitement.

I shrugged, "I’m not very sure to be honest... I fell into a trap and got stuck there fighting other guys who also fell into the same trap and wasn’t really paying attention to my score. How did you girls do?"

Amber jerked her thumb at herself proudly, "Heh! I got five hundred and seventy points!"

Oh~ That means she managed to get at least fifty seven kills during the test. That’s awesome~

Yumiko flipped her hair, "I had six hundred and twenty, Mistress."

Wooow~ So cool, Yumiko~

Ries hopped up and down cutely while waving her hand in the air, "Boss! Boss! I had three hundred and eighty points!"

Lea also raised her hand slightly, "I have the same as well, Mistress."

Hehhh~ Knowing the two of them, I bet they just had difficulty finding targets to kill or something, not because they were struggling to kill their targets.

Mara shrugged, "I wasn’t really trying much since I don’t really need the license... But I have three hundred and fifty points."

That’s your ’not trying’, Mara? That’s still at least thirty five kills, you know? I wonder how many you would get if you actually ’tried’.

"Out of curiosity... Did you girls spawn with different weapons?" I asked.

Amber tilted her head, "Hmm? I believe the weapon spawns are standard, right? We all spawn in with a ballistic autocannon, don’t we?"

The other girls also nodded.

Ries scoffed, "And the gun wasn’t even that great either. You really want to switch it out as soon as possible. Literally every other gun you can find is better than that."

I blinked at my girls and just stared at them for a good half a minute before I finally spoke again.

"You can find other guns around?"

Amber nodded, "There’s like... Those weapon boxes scattered all around the map. You just need to open them and they’ll have a different weapon in them. I managed to find dual submachine autocannons in one and that helped me get a lot of kills."

"Wait... There’s weapon boxes?! What did they look like?!"

"They’re just basically black boxes, Tera... Don’t tell me you didn’t know and you only used the default weapon?"

"Er... No? I mean... I killed other guys and took their weapons from them. I thought... The weapons they were using were what they spawned with..."

Ries tilted her head, "But... I think it would be obvious that wasn’t the case after you have to respawn a few times, right?"

"Ah... Well... I was playing quite cautiously and not taking more risks than I needed to so I didn’t die a single time..." I admitted.

All of them stared at me for a moment before they looked at each other.

"Well... I suppose it’s Tera after all..."

"Mistress is Mistress indeed."

"Mmhmm~ As expected of Boss!"

"Yes, if we think about it that way, it would all make sense."

"I agree. As expected of Mistress."

"Ehehe~ Daddy is so cool~"

No, no... Don’t just brush it off like that...

Also, Renata... Be quiet... What if people wondered why there were voices coming from my chest?

Before I could say anything, an android came over to us, "Participants, please proceed back to the room to have your results evaluated."

Right. Almost forgot what we were even here for.

We followed the android out of the hall and back into the room where we were introduced to the instructor.

We were also instructed not to lose our bracelets and if someone were to steal it, our results will go to them instead.

I’m not sure why anyone would want to steal it since you wouldn’t know their results specifically as everyone was pretty much anonymous while in that simulation.

Unless... There’s someone here that was boosting like the group who laid the trap for me.

Which meant that this entire system was kind of moot in regards to trying to get the best of the bunch since someone who did great in the test could give or sell their bracelet away to someone who isn’t good.

Well... This isn’t my school anyway, so what do I care?

We returned to the same place we had occupied when we first got here.

They waited for everyone to take their place before the lights in the room dimmed again with a single spotlight shining down at the podium.

The instructor reappeared again from the ground to stand in front of his podium.

"All of you have completed the test and as I had said earlier, we will only accept the top twenty to be our students. Now I won’t waste your time so I will be displaying the scores starting from number twenty and the bracelet with that score will light up. That will activate the bracelet to recognise you as a student of this academy which will allow you to start your lessons tomorrow proper. Everyone else will have to return their bracelets and leave the station. So for number twenty, a score of two hundred and twenty five."

Someone on our left let out a shout of victory and threw his hands in the air, revealing his bracelet that had changed to a gold colour instead of the grey silver colour it was originally.

Oh? So the guy in last place has only two hundred and twenty five points? That would mean all of my girls managed to make it in then, since they have more than two hundred and twenty five points.

The only problem is whether I had that many points too because before I fell into the pit, I had around a hundred or so points...

The one on the nineteenth spot had two hundred and fifty, then after that it jumped straight to three hundred on the eighteenth.

Numbers eighteenth to fourteenth were only five points apart for each rank until we reached thirteenth which ended up to be Mara’s points as her bracelet changed colour.

I was quite concerned now as the numbers continued to rise and both Lea and Ries tied for fifth and fourth place.

Third was Amber and I was hoping I was second but my heart dropped when they announced Yumiko as the one in second place.

Crap... That means I probably didn’t even get over two hundred points huh... Shit...

Isn’t it ironic that amongst us, the person who really wanted the license can’t even get it? I guess it’s partly because I didn’t even know that there were weapon boxes around the map that I could use to get better weap--

"And in the first place... Hmm... Interesting... In the first place we have the top score of eight hundred and seventy points."

My bracelet lit up and all I could do was stare at it, not even comprehending what just happened for a good minute while the rest of the room all turned in my direction as they realised whose bracelet had activated after that announcement.

Err... I killed that many? Wow...
