Deep inside the forest, a formidable pack of werewolves were making their way through. They moved through the treetops with unmatched speed and agility.
The army of werewolves was being led by one man: their alpha, Danzo. Beside him was his beautiful daughter, a maiden known as the moon princess.
Unlike the rest of the werewolves, her mood didn’t seem to be particularly lively. Her mind was preoccupied by someone. Someone very dear to her.
"Lee," she muttered softly. He was the reason she didn’t eat, didn’t sleep, and barely even ate. She felt as if her life was meaningless if she couldn’t be with the one she loved.
And because of that, she was nothing but a shadow of her former self. She was easily overpowered by regular werewolves. Wolves who should’ve been much weaker than her.
"Enough of this nonsense, Sylvie. That boy is dead. You saw the wound Roran left on him. He couldn’t have survived that." Danzo said. He was feeling irritated over his daughter’s foul moon. Especially now that he needed her in top form.
"Lee is not dead!" She quickly refuted. "Lee promised."
Just then, a single tear rolled down her beautiful face. She wanted to believe that the man she yearned for was still alive, but there was still a part of her who couldn’t shake what she saw.
She saw the wound that was inflicted upon him. A wound that would’ve killed any ordinary man.
"That boy was weak," Danzo mumbled.
"Sylvie doesn’t care! Sylvie just wants Lee."
She didn’t care if what her father said was true. If the one she loved was indeed weak, then she would protect him. She would’ve cared for him no matter what.
She would hunt for his meals, and he would cook. And the two would live happily forever. That was the dream Sylvie had.
The moments she had with Lee were some of the happiest moments of her life, and she didn’t want to let it go.
"Lee promised," she repeated to herself once again. And that promise was the only thing keeping her going.
"Alpha Danzo," a young werewolf shouted and approached the alpha. "This is it. We’re entering the yokai’s territory now."
"Hopefully that vixen is smart enough to let us pass and not get in our way," he grumbled. "She has strong proclivities towards the opposite sex. Beware and don’t let her seduce you."
With the alpha’s orders, the army of werewolves carefully made their way through the yokai’s territory. The world around them had turned into black and white, and the trees and leaves had all withered away. In their stead were bodies wrapped in silky white webs.
"Disgusting," Danzo mumbled to himself. "That woman is truly insane."
Seeing the corpses, the army of werewolves felt every hair on their bodies stand on end.
"What monster could’ve done something like this?"
With their hearts beating out of their chests, they progressed through the territory, keeping their senses sharp as they moved. And just for a moment, it looked as if they would’ve made it out alive until...
"Spiders, help!"
A massive horde of arachnids came down on them; bigger than they had ever seen before. The same creatures spat webs at them and used their pointed legs to rip them apart. It turned into a bloodbath as the monsters came forth with ferocity.
Seeing his warriors being slaughtered, Danzo felt as if his blood was boiling.
"Kill them all!" He roared, and just like that, a battle with the Nyx pack and a horde of arachnids ensued.
Roran slaughtered the giant spiders as if they were nothing. His massive claws pummeled through their thick armor like it was nothing.
Witnessing this power, his men also felt a surge of power coursing through them. With such a mighty alpha, they thought they could do anything. It was this confidence that allowed them to lay waste to the many wolf packs that once occupied these lands.
In just a few short minutes, the horde of arachnids was reduced to nothing. Their bodies lay broken on the forest floor, causing the Nyx pack to roar in triumph, but their joy was short-lived as they heard an ominous laughter echoing through the forest. Soon, the yokai appeared as if stepping out of midair.
Her beautiful face was covered by the black fan in her hand. Her white floral yukata hugged her womanly curves perfectly. Even though she was the enemy, some of the young boys couldn’t keep their eyes off her gorgeous figure.
Seeing this, her smile instantly disappeared and was replaced by an angry scowl.
"Keep your eyes up here before you lose them."
"Hmm?" Roran raised an eyebrow. "Since when does the Jorogumo yokai dislike being admired by men?"
A sly smile appeared on the yokai’s pink lips.
"I am a changed gal. I no longer seek the satisfaction of lesser men. My soul and body belong to someone new."
"Ha! This man must be something special to tame the whole spider herself."
"My darling is special. Which is why I won’t let you pass."
"Trust me, we have no interest in your darling, whoever it is. Our goal is merely to pass through this strip of land."
"You want to pass through so you can hurt my darling. That is why I have been waiting for you. I won’t let anyone hurt him."
"This is your last chance, yokai. We don’t have any quarrel with you. Are you really prepared to die for your darling?"
Hearing that question, a red blush lit up on the yokai’s face as she stared at the alpha wildly.
"Gladly! I would gladly die for him! My entire being is for him!"
"Tsk! Fool!"
Danzo clicked his tongue, and black claws began to morph from his fingertips. All the werewolves surrounded the yokai, aiming to attack, but Danzo quickly stopped them.
"Stay back! You’re no match for her. We can’t afford to lose any more men."
At the alpha’s order, they were all forced to step back. Seeing their reaction, the yokai did nothing but chuckle, and as she did, black spider-like legs grew from her back, suspending her high in the air.
She licked her lips seductively as thoughts of how happy her darling would be when she killed this man flooded her mind. The thoughts drove her wild. Her entire body shuddered in ecstasy just from the thought of making her darling happy.
’Maybe he will give me a head pat’ she thought.
The thoughts were too much to bare. She couldn’t hold back anymore and lunged at the alpha like a predator pouncing on prey.
