Sid stood up, closing the space between them. Morgana’s eyes flashed with irritation, her arms tightening across her chest as she glared at Sid.

"You never listen, do you? It’s just 9 pm and your big ’tower climb’... it’s at 3 AM! You better— Ahem, Well... I mean... you... you have a live climb scheduled on your channel at... uh... three a.m."

Sid froze.

"Wait... what? You... you know that?"

Morgana’s cheeks tinted faintly, her gaze darting down to the floor as she muttered,

"I... I just happened to... see the live thing. That’s all. Don’t— don’t make it a big deal."

She shifted her weight, clearly embarrassed, her fingers nervously tapping a nearby bandage. Sid’s lips twitched into a small, incredulous smile.

"You’re saying you were... watching me?"

She nodded quickly, biting her lower lip, clearly uncomfortable with her own admission.

"I didn’t... I didn’t mean to watch everything. I just... wanted to make sure you were okay. Ever since you saved me from the president back in college... that’s all."

Sid gave a faint smirk, teasing.

"So you’re my... fan, huh? More like an amateur fan, except you’re not just watching, you’re worried about me."

Big D, leaning lazily in the corner with a big sus smile, piped up without thinking.

"Oh man... look at you two. This is exactly what I wanted, back when I put you in that jail booth with her. I knew this would happen eventually."

Sid shot him a sharp look.

"Big D... don’t even think about—"

"Relax. I’m just saying... Sid, stay here, recover a bit. I’ll run home, grab everything you need for the tower, and bring it here. You won’t have to move a muscle."

"I can’t... I can’t let you do that. I should be the one preparing. I don’t need anyone else—"

Big D raised an eyebrow, leaning in slightly. He gave Sid a small, subtle hand signal, a quick series of gestures only the two of them would understand... a signal that said, trust me, just let it happen.

Sid hesitated, glancing at Morgana, who was watching him with her calm, unflinching stare. He exhaled slowly, realizing there was no shame in accepting help from someone who cared.

"Fine... since you’re my BFF, big fatty friend, here— take my apartment key. Grab everything I’ll need for the climb: my protein shake, all the ingredients, including the banana—"

He held out the key to Big D, who grinned and snatched it.

"Just message me the full list of ingredients and anything else you want me to bring, okay? Don’t worry, bro, I got you!"

Big D said, already heading toward the door.

"Sit tight, recover a bit, and I’ll be back faster than you think. And don’t overdo anything, this is your peak, man. You need all your strength."

As the door clicked shut behind Big D, the room sank into silence. Only Sid and Morgana remained. Sid shifted his weight, and Morgana stepped back slightly, creating a small, uneasy space between them. They just stood there, each waiting for the other to speak or for something, anything, to break the tension that seemed to hum in the air.
