Chapter 53: Parkour Star Floors The president... Round Two!

The crack of bone on bone echoed as Sid’s fist smashed into the president’s jaw. The man stumbled back two steps, spit flying from his mouth, but he didn’t go down. His eyes went wild, bloodshot, a mix of fury and obsession driving him.

"You think you’re a hero?!"

The president roared, lunging forward with a heavy swing. Sid dipped low, his body flowing with speed and the punch cut through empty air. He pivoted on one hand, twisting like a breakdancer, and his heel snapped up into the president’s ribs. The impact knocked him sideways, and the president hissed in pain.

"Not bad! But you’re too damn slow."

Snarling, the president rushed him again, throwing wild punches. Sid vaulted backward over a low railing, landing light on his feet. Another punch flew at him, but Sid sprang up onto a nearby bench, flipping over the man’s head. He landed behind him and shoved him forward with a kick to the back.

Big D hollered from the side, his phone still recording.

"Yo, he’s making you look like a clown! Look at that footwork! Parkour in a fight, baby!"

The president’s face twisted red with rage. He swung again and again, but Sid bent, twisted, and weaved through every strike. His movements were fluid, almost playful, like the city itself gave him room to move. A punch came close, but Sid leapt high, tucking his knees, and landed behind the president once more.

"Stay still, damn you!"

The president roared, throwing another clumsy hook. Sid ducked under it, his shoulder brushing the man’s arm, then popped up with a sharp jab to the chin. The president stumbled back, breathless, frustration boiling over.

"You can’t even touch me."

Sid said coldly, his chest rising steady.

"You were always a bully hiding behind power. Without it, you’re just a weak man swinging at shadows."

The president screamed in fury, charging like a beast. Sid sidestepped with ease, planting one hand on the wall and flipping sideways to avoid the grab. His foot shot out mid-flip, smashing into the president’s shoulder and sending him sprawling to the pavement.

Morgana stood frozen, hands trembling at her sides, but her eyes stayed on Sid—not with fear anymore, but with a quiet awe.

"Sid... don’t let him win, get him this time..."

She whispered, her voice carrying just enough to reach him. The president was panting hard now, sweat running down his temples. His fists were raw from scraping pavement and air, but Sid hadn’t taken a single hit.

Sid crouched slightly, smirking, his breath steady.

"What’s the matter? Out of shape? Thought you used to rule the school. All I see now is a guy who can’t even touch me."

"DAMN YOU!"

The president bellowed and lunged, swinging a haymaker. Sid bent back, spine almost parallel to the ground, and the punch whistled over his nose. He popped back up, grinned, and tapped the man on the forehead with two fingers.

"Boop."

Big D exploded with laughter behind the phone.

"Yo! This is going viral, no question! Mr. President can’t even land a jab! My boy Sid is styling on him!"

The president snarled, his face beet red. He tried a kick, but Sid sidestepped, balancing on one hand, and his legs scissored out, sweeping the president’s foot clean. The man crashed on his back, groaning. Sid backflipped away, landing smooth, not a hair out of place.

"Get up, I’m not done embarrassing you yet."

The crowd that had started gathering on the edge of the street murmured, a few laughing openly at the ridiculous scene. The president’s pride burned hotter than his bruises.

"You think this is a game?!"

He roared, shoving himself up.

"You think you can humiliate me again?!"

With shaking hands, he reached into his jacket and pulled out a gleaming knife. The blade caught the streetlight, wicked and sharp.

The crowd gasped. Big D’s voice cracked.

"Holy shit, Sid! He’s pulling steel!"

Sid’s smirk faded, eyes narrowing. His posture shifted, no longer playful, every sense went sharp.

"So that’s who you really are. You can’t fight fair. Just like I expected from a politician’s son."

The president lunged with the blade, stabbing wild. Sid’s body bent and twisted, flowing around each thrust like water. He hopped onto a railing, vaulted over, then ducked low as the blade slashed the air where his chest had been a second earlier. Not once did the steel find its target.

But the president’s gaze shifted. His eyes slid past Sid, locking on Morgana, who stood frozen behind him. His lips twisted into a cruel smile.

"If I can’t have you, no one can!"

He spun suddenly, driving the knife toward Morgana. Sid’s voice ripped through the air.

"MORGANA!"

Instinct took over. Sid launched himself forward, twisting his body just in time to block the blade. The knife sank deep into his side, right above his hip.

"Gahh!"

The pain was white-hot, blinding. Sid grunted, his breath catching, but his body still moved. His hand clamped down on the president’s wrist before the blade could tear further. With a snarl, Sid twisted hard, wrenching the knife free from his flesh and sending it clattering to the pavement.

Blood began to seep through his shirt, dark and spreading, but Sid stood tall, forcing himself to breathe steady. His jaw clenched, his eyes blazing with fury.

"You wanted her as a doll? You’ll never touch her again. Not while I’m still standing. YOU BASTARD!"

Morgana’s eyes widened, tears threatening but not falling. Sid had taken the blow meant for her and she realized just how far he would go to protect her. The president stumbled back, wide-eyed at Sid’s defiance, as Big D’s voice carried in the background, both shocked and awed.

"Bro’s bleeding bad... but he’s still on his feet. Holy hell, this just got real."

Blood dripped down Sid’s side, hot and sticky, but he forced his legs to move. Every step hurt, every twist pulled fire through his abdomen, but he refused to falter. The president lunged again, empty-handed now, clawing like a rabid animal.

"You should’ve stayed out of this, Sid! You ruined my life, now I’ll ruin yours!"
