At 7:00 , once the trays were cleared and their stomachs full, they stepped outside. The night air was cool and clean after the stuffy smell of burgers and fries. Sid walked side by side with Big D through the neighborhood streets, hands tucked into his hoodie pocket.

The pace was slow, steady, nothing intense. Just the shuffle of shoes on pavement, the hum of passing cars, and the faint buzz of neon from shops still open. Big D burped loudly,

"Man, that hit the spot. Greasy, cheap, perfect. Better than your egg sandwich mornings."

Sid gave him a side glance.

"Don’t knock my egg sandwiches. Those things keep me alive when I’m hanging from ledges."

"Yeah, yeah... But tonight? Burgers were the real fuel. I swear, you’ll climb that tower faster powered by fries alone."

Sid laughed softly. The conversation drifted from food to dumb memories, like the time Big D fell into a dumpster during one of their first rooftop runs. They teased, joked, and pointed out random strangers passing by. For Sid, the walk felt good. No headphones, no screen, no plan. Just two friends walking under streetlights, letting the night set his head straight.

Then Big D’s voice dropped.

"Yo, check her out."

Sid followed his gaze. Up ahead, a girl in a college uniform was walking alone, her posture confident, her build curving under the neat lines of the skirt and blazer. Her hair caught the light... black fading into purple, ending in a soft violet tint. Big D blew a whistle.

"Damn, she’s hot. Like, really hot."

Sid slowed, his brow furrowed. Something about the way the violet caught at the ends made his stomach twist with recognition. He didn’t say it aloud, but the thought lingered.

Before either of them could think more, a man emerged from a corner. He was tall, his movements a little too quick, too eager. He started tailing the girl. Sid’s eyes narrowed instantly, his instincts prickling. Big D, just as fast, pulled out his phone.

"Bro, this is content. If this guy’s up to something, I’m getting it on camera."

"Seriously, D? Not everything’s a video."

But Big D didn’t lower the phone. His lens was already aimed.

"Yeah, but people need to see this crap. Call it... street awareness. Besides, if we step in, it’s proof."

The man closed the distance and grabbed the girl’s shoulder.

"Morgana!"

Both Sid and Big D froze mid-step. The name hit them like a blow.

Sid’s heart skipped. His fists clenched. Morgana. That name, from back then. The girl everyone whispered about, mocked, called a witch. The one who used to look frail, too skinny, too ghostlike.

Big D muttered under his breath, still recording, though his tone was hushed with shock.

"Holy shit... that’s her. That’s Morgana. No way. Look at her now..."

Sid’s eyes traced the figure. She turned slightly, and the streetlight revealed her face. She had grown into something almost unrecognizable. The frail, ghostlike girl he remembered had been transformed into a stunning woman with curves that could make even the most hardened men weak in the knees.

Her breasts strained against the fabric of her blouse, the buttons threatening to pop open at any moment.They were full and round, her waist was impossibly small, accentuating the hourglass shape of her body.

Sid felt his mouth go dry as he drank in the sight of her. She was a walking wet dream, every inch of her screaming sin and temptation. Big D’s words pointed out what makes her unrecognizable: her hair but falling just right to cover the right side of her face. A burn mark hidden under strands of black and violet. Big D whispered.

"Unbelievable. From that skinny witch-girl to this? She’s... she’s actually beautiful."

Sid stood silent, every muscle tensed, his mind caught between the past and the present. The shy, hunched figure from the past was gone. His chest tightened, his heartbeat pounding so hard it drowned out the city noise. For a moment, he couldn’t even speak.

Beside him, Big D was crouching slightly, adjusting his phone to catch the scene from the best angle.

"Damn... bro, this is gold. Could be nothing, could be something. Let’s see how this plays out."

To him, it looked like the awkward scuffle of two people who knew each other like a couple caught in a messy argument. Sid clenched his jaw, his voice low, almost forced.

"Come on... let’s go."

Big D glanced at him, surprised.

"What? You’re just walking away? Dude, relax, it’s probably—"

But then the tone shifted. The man’s grip on Morgana tightened. She winced, her voice cracking with pain.

"Let me go! You’re hurting me!"

The sound froze both Sid and Big D mid-step. Big D stopped recording for a second, his thumb hovering over the screen, but his gut told him to keep filming. The camera kept rolling as the man leaned closer to Morgana, his voice low and filled with obsession.

"You don’t get it, Morgana. You were mine then, and you’re mine now. Don’t you dare run away again."

Morgana pushed at his chest, but he didn’t budge. Her face twisted, trying to stay strong, but the pain in her eyes was undeniable.

Sid’s fists curled so tight his knuckles ached. The jealousy, the anger, the old wounds... it all boiled over. And then, before his mind could catch up, his body moved. He sprinted forward, the world slowing around him like a film reel dragging frame by frame. His shoes hit the pavement hard, his vision locked on the man’s hand gripping Morgana’s shoulder.
