While I stared at the status screen. Danzo and I could be tinted to circle around each other, our fangs bared, ready to take each other’s life.

If anyone saw us, they wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between us. The only noticeable difference was the color of our eyes.

We kept our eyes sharp, searching for any weakness no matter how small. And just as it looked like nothing was going to happen, Danzo was the first to make a move.

He lunged at me and went straight for my neck, but I ducked below hung vicious fangs. This placed me in the best position to take a bite out of his leg, and without hesitation, I sunk my canines into his right leg.

[Devouring bite activated]

Because of my rank evolution and me destroying the moonstone, biting through his hard skin became as easy as biting through soft meat.

Danzo held in pain as I ripped away a chunk of his flesh. With this single attack, for the first time during our fight, I smelled his fear, and it was like ecstasy to me.

His eyes narrowed as the realization set in that something had changed. That I wasn’t the same werewolf he was fighting mere moments ago. He was locked in battle with another alpha.

Panic set in, and he snapped his fangs, aiming to kill me in a single bite, but there was nothing to fear from him anymore.

Like savage beasts, the two of us were locked in battle. Each trying to overpower the other. The forest became our playground of destruction. Every living thing around us was forced to stifle its breath in fear.

We fought for hours, it felt like, but none of us relented. Both of us were wounded, our fur soaked in thick red blood.

My devouring Bute had done a number on Danzo. He was covered in wounds that would heal, but still his eyes remained sharp. Never losing its focus.

While I, on the other hand, was healing perfectly. My wounds were gone like they never existed. The only thing affected was my stamina constantly getting drained.

In a battle of attrition, he would never win, and he was slowly starting to realize that. But with his pack watching, he couldn’t give up.

Our battle had brought us back to where we started. Now both our packs were watching us. None of them even dared to intervene.

They all knew that this was sacred. This was a law of nature, so none of them dared. Not even Sylvie. No matter who won, she would still lose someone precious to her.

Danzo summoned all the strength he could muster and howled so loudly the mountains felt it!

He threw himself at me, determination burning in his eyes. Everything he desired was right in front of him. He couldn’t let it slip away.

But all of his determination meant nothing since he wasn’t strong enough to take it.

All my senses were locked onto the artery pulsing at the side of his neck. I didn’t even feel it when he sank his fangs into my shoulder.

For all I cared, it set up the killing bite perfectly as I sunk my canines into his artery.

He tried to struggle, but I had him, locked between my jaws. Blood flooded my mouth, but I didn’t care. To me it felt like cold water after a long day in the sun. I gulped it down as if I were dying of thirst.

I held him as he struggled until his body finally went limp. It was only then that I released him from my clutches.

I watched his lifeless body fall to the ground, and then I howled loudly so my pack would know of my victory.

That single howl lit a fire under them as they went after what remained of the Nyx pack. They used their strength as primordial werewolves and easily overpowered what remained of Danzo’s pack.

As the battle ended, the first to rush to me was Sylvie. She was in her wolf form. A beautiful black wolf with white spots covering her ears and stomach. She slowly circled around me, rubbing herself against my fur.

After her followed Selthia and Kumo.

As they approached, I returned to my human form, and immediately as I did, I felt a sharp pain in my neck.

"Damn leech!! Get off him," Selthia shouted as Isabella sank her fangs into my neck and started sucking my blood vulgarly.

"You taste different... it’s good..." she moaned.

"My darling is being entrapped," Kumo panicked, causing her spider-like appearance to return slightly.

"Lee?" Sylvie, who had returned to her human form, looked at me questioningly.

"There are some things we need to discuss," I said, clearing my throat, then turning my attention to the yokai. The obvious odd person out. "Kumo, would you like to join my pack?"

"Darling?" For a second, she looked stumped by my question, but then her eyes returned to their wildness as her entire face became flushed in a pink blush. "Darling, yes! Oh yes! I will..."

Her voice trailed off as she rushed to me and wrapped her arms around my neck.

The moment she touched me, it was as if her legs went weak, and I was forced to catch her.

’There was always something with her.’

I used the opportunity to bite her on the neck. Just as I did, her eyes flashed orange.

"My darling," she moaned loudly, "impregnate me with your venom..."

As Kumo continued to talk like a crazy woman, I released her and then turned my attention to Sylvie.

"Lee?"

"Do you still wish to join me, Sylvie?"

Immediately as I asked, tears filled her eyes and began flowing down her face.

"Sylvie do."

"Sylvie wants to be with Lee forever," she cried, and it was as if the tears wouldn’t stop coming as she desperately tried to wipe them away.

I pulled her in close and comforted her while she cried.

"If that’s your wish, then I’ll make it happen." I whispered before sinking my fangs into her neck, and with that she was officially a part of my pack.

In that moment as my venom took hold of her, I felt a small change happen within Sylvie, but I wasn’t sure what.

The next order of business was the surviving werewolves from the Nyx pack.

I wanted them to join me.

I had Selthia and the skinwalkers round them up.

Looking at their faces, I knew I didn’t have to ask. My primordial true alpha status gave me dominion over all werewolves. They immediately bowed their heads as I gazed at them.

And with that, my pack has got a little larger.
