"Just because we look beautiful and charming, do you really think we are frail?" Selena’s voice echoed coldly.

As her words spread, a thick purple aura rose around her like smoke. Her loose hair lifted slowly, dancing in the air.

Roosevelt tightened his grip on his sword. He took a step forward, ready to attack. But Selena pointed her finger at him and whispered a spell.

"Sleep Paralysis."

A strange sound rang in the air.

Grinng!

Roosevelt’s body froze. It felt like an invisible weight pressed down on him. A wave of sleep rushed through his head.

His eyes grew heavy and his knees shook. He tried to resist, but his strength slipped away. Just before he could collapse, a blast struck him from the side, throwing him back.

BOOOM!

Roosevelt rolled around a few times coughing badly.

The explosion came from Kael, not the enemy.

Kael had attacked to wake him up.

"Damn..Can you stop getting affected?" Kael muttered as he rushed forward.

Selena pointed at him again. "Sleep Paralysis."

Her spell hit him, but the energy bounced off as if it hit a wall. She froze in surprise.

Kael’s eyes were cold. He drew his sword, gripping it with both hands.

"First form," he murmured.

A flash followed.

The sword cut through the air with a sharp whistle. The wind split apart as a glowing arc tore across the field and hit Selena’s body. Her figure was sliced apart, but before Kael could react, her body vanished into mist. It was an illusion.

Kael turned sharply, scanning the area. More succubi appeared around him.

"Human....Die.." they slashed with claws

He frowned a bit.

"This is troublesome," he said quietly.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt groaned as he got up from the ground. He rubbed his head. "Ahh... couldn’t you have jabbed lightly?" he grumbled.

Before he could finish, a claw slashed toward his face. He gasped and raised his sword just in time to block it.

Sparks flew as the blades met.

Selena stood in front of him now. Her eyes glowed a bright violet.

Roosevelt pushed her back with all his strength. He swung his sword in wide arcs. She moved gracefully, dodging every strike. Her movements were fast, smooth like flowing water. Roosevelt struck again, but Selena leaped high and flipped over him. Her tail lashed out, cutting through the air with a hiss.

Roosevelt ducked and countered with a stab. His blade grazed her arm, drawing a thin line of blood. Selena hissed and glared at him.

"How cruel?"

"Don’t you feel bad for hurting such a beauty!"Selena pouted.

"Shut up!"Roosevelt roared back.

She lunged at him, her claws slashing down. He blocked once, twice, then pushed forward to close the gap.

For a moment, it looked like he was gaining ground. Then Selena’s eyes shimmered faintly.

"Dreamweaver," she whispered.

The world around Roosevelt changed. The battlefield faded into darkness.

A soft light shone ahead, and dozens of women appeared from the mist. They smiled at him, calling his name sweetly.

"Roosevelt..."

"Darling!"

"Stop..*

"Come to us..."

"Stay with us..."

"Stop fighting..Come and sleep in our embrace.."

"No.."

Roosevelt found himself standing amidst dozens of half naked women whose hands trailed over his body caressing his body features.

Their voices wrapped around his mind. His arms dropped slightly.

His heart pounded and he swallowed hard, unable to maintain his sanity.

For a pure boy like him,it was hard to resist such gestures.

His sword lowered as confusion filled his head.

It was only a brief pause, but it was enough.

Selena’s tail shot forward like a spear. Roosevelt twisted his body at the last moment.The tail still pierced his shoulder creating a bloody hold.

"Gahhh!" he cried out in pain and jumped back.

Selena smirked. "Oh, I didn’t expect you to dodge that."

She then raised her tail and wiped the blood off the ground.

Blood ran down his arm.

Roosevelt’s face twisted in pain. He tightened his jaw and swung his sword again, this time with raw anger.

Selena stepped back, avoiding the blade, and raised her hand.

"Damn bitch...I am gonna kill you."

"Dreamweaver!" she called again.

A loud crack echoed in the air. Roosevelt froze where he stood. His eyes widened. The sword slipped from his hand and fell to the ground with a dull sound.

The attack was much stronger than before..The repeated assault tested his sanity.His mind went blank. It felt like his thoughts had been torn apart.

Kael, standing not far away, saw everything.He could see the intense struggle Roosevelt was going through.

While a part of his face showcased brittle struggle,the other part seemed to enjoy the feeling of ecstasy.

"Fuck...What’s with this twisted bizzare expression....I haven’t even seen actor in operas with such perfect expression."

His eyes narrowed."Is this guy really the one people talk about?" he muttered. "Why the fuck is he so clumsy? This is bullshit. This guy is just dragging me down. Fuck..."

Kael clenched his sword tighter. His body trembled with frustration and anger. The purple aura around Selena grew darker as she turned her gaze toward him.

The fight was far from over, and Kael knew he would have to face her alone alongside the other annoying flies.

The cold wind swept across the field. Roosevelt stood still, trapped in Selena’s spell. Kael’s breath came out sharp and steady. His blade glowed faintly under the dark sky. He took one step forward, ready for what came next.

Selena cast a flirtatious gaze at Kael. Her lips curved into a sly smile.

"That guy won’t be coming out now. Very soon, he’ll fall into my grasp and become my servant," she said softly, her voice dripping with confidence.

She tilted her head slightly, her claws glowing faintly with dark energy. "And you will suffer the same fate as him... hehehe..." Her laughter echoed through the air, wild and mocking.

"Two handsome men serving this demoness...Oh my..my..What a delight it would be."Selena jumped up swaying her hips sensuously.

It was hard for any man to resist such beauty unless he had seen better.

As for him,yes he has seen far better.

Kael’s expression faltered for a moment. He rubbed the side of his head and muttered to himself. "Damn... if that guy really falls for her, I’m running away for real."

Selena raised her claws, preparing to attack. But before she could move, a roar thundered through the battlefield. The sound was deep and powerful, shaking the ground beneath them.

Selena froze and turned around quickly. A bright golden light erupted from behind her. Her eyes widened as she saw Roosevelt standing tall, surrounded by glowing energy. His hair had turned golden, shining like sunlight. His eyes glowed with a majestic golden light.

A soft crown made of light formed above his head. The air around him trembled from the sheer pressure of his aura.

"Do you know what my name is in the Continental list?" Roosevelt asked, his voice echoing coldly.

Selena blinked in confusion. "The... Continental list?" she repeated slowly.

"What’s that?" she asked again, her tone uncertain.

Roosevelt didn’t answer her question. His face was calm, but his eyes burned with fury. Behind him, a massive phantom appeared. It was a towering figure sitting on a grand throne, glowing with divine light. The throne’s surface rippled with golden symbols that flickered like flames.

Kael’s eyes widened as he stared at the scene. "Materialisation of Divine Intent...So he really inherited the Royal blessings" he whispered in disbelief.

He was about to praise Roosevelt when he remembered something.

"Fuck... you’ve already reached that level, yet you were struck down by her illusion? Shameful."

Kael spat on the ground, shaking his head in disgust.

Roosevelt slowly raised his sword. His grip tightened, and his aura flared brighter. His voice boomed across the battlefield.

"I HAAADDD ENNOUGHHHH!"

BOOOOOM!

The air exploded around him. A violent wave of golden energy spread out in every direction, slamming into Selena with tremendous force. She screamed as her body was pushed back.

"Hiss! What is this power?" she shouted, her eyes wide in shock.

Roosevelt’s figure vanished from sight for a moment. When he appeared again, he was already in front of her. His sword gleamed with a blinding light.

He raised his blade with a cold gleam flashing in his eyes.

"Imperial Swordsmanship," he said quietly.

Selena tried to move, but her body froze under the pressure. The ground cracked beneath Roosevelt’s feet. The golden phantom behind him raised its hand as if mirroring his movement.

"The Might of Majesty!" Roosevelt roared.

A massive golden slash cut through the air. The light was so bright that it swallowed everything around them. The strike tore through Selena’s defenses and hit her with overwhelming force.

The explosion that followed shook the ground. Smoke and dust filled the air. The sharp metallic scent of blood lingered.

Kael watched the scene unfold, his hair ruffled by the strong wind. His eyes narrowed slightly as the light faded.

Roosevelt stood in the middle of the destruction with his sword pointed to the ground.
