Gasps rippled through the audience.

"Woo..." someone whispered in awe.

"What is this move?" another muttered, too shocked to believe what they had seen.

"So cool..." The voices of children rose the loudest, their eyes wide with admiration, their young hearts shaken by Kael’s display of power.

Vale’s deranged eyes twitched. For the first time, fear flickered in them, though it was buried beneath the storm of madness. He snarled and let out another scream, pushing his body further. "Kill... kill them all! Kael, dieeee!"

Around his distorted form, orbs of darkness began to appear, swelling one after another until they hovered thick in the air. The air grew heavy, suffocating under the pressure of the corrupted energy. With another deafening roar, Vale released them.

Boom!

Rays of pure darkness tore through the arena, cutting through stone, air,ground and anything that appeared in the path as they shot toward Kael with unstoppable speed. The crowd screamed, shielding themselves from the blinding chaos.

But Kael stood still. His grin widened as he raised his blade, then slashed with casual ease.

BOOOOM!

The slash ripped through the air, colliding with the incoming rays. In an instant, the beams of darkness bent and twisted, redirected upward into the sky. The night was torn apart as the rays exploded above, showering the heavens with thunder and violent bursts of light. The entire sky flashed, blinding the colosseum for a heartbeat.

When the brightness faded and the dust settled, Kael was still walking forward.

Each step echoed clearly. His lips curled into a crooked, dangerous smile as he looked at Vale.

Vale’s body trembled, but madness overtook his fear.

He bit down so hard his teeth cracked and blood poured from his gums. "Killlllll... Kael!" His voice was broken, wild. His body shot forward, a black blur tearing across the ruined arena.

The ground shattered beneath him as he charged, his strength concentrated into a devastating strike. He moved with beastly speed, like an arrow loose with violent intent, aiming to crush Kael into the earth.

But as he reached Kael, his body passed straight through him. It was as though Kael wasn’t even there. Vale’s face twisted in confusion, and his eyes bulged as he crashed into the ground with a deafening impact. Dust flew everywhere, stone splitting beneath his weight.

"Wuauauauawwww...?" Vale’s voice shook as he looked down. The answer came in a wave of unbearable pain.

His legs.

They were gone.

Blood spilled in streams as the lower half of his body was severed clean. Horror filled his mind, but the madness refused to let him stop. His scream tore through the colosseum, louder and more piercing than before.

"Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh! Killlllll! Kill them all! Kill Kael! Slaughter! Kill! Kill! Kill!" His words were broken and inhuman, a beast’s cries more than a man’s voice. His body writhed on the ground, tentacles flailing as the corrupted form fought to keep moving.

The audience fell silent, stunned into speechlessness. Some turned away, unable to look at the grotesque display. Others trembled, sensing the unearthly chill spreading across the stadium.

Kael, however, only narrowed his eyes, his calm steps never faltering. His presence grew heavier, overshadowing Vale’s madness as if crushing it piece by piece. The difference between them was becoming clear to all.

"Let’s finish this.."

Kael’s grip on the hilt of his sword tightened, his knuckles turning pale from the force. His presence began to change, becoming heavier and sharper with every breath he took.

A crimson mist slowly spread around his body, curling like smoke before thickening into waves that pulsed with power. Sparks of lightning cracked within the mist and struck the ground, sending small bursts of energy across the field.

The air itself seemed unable to withstand the pressure of his aura. It flickered wildly, and every time it touched the open space around him, it caused a tearing friction, like invisible blades scraping against the ground. The sound was raw and unsettling, as though the world itself was resisting his release of power. Dust lifted from the earth, caught in the unstable currents that whirled around him.

Kael’s eyes glowed faintly under the dim light, his expression calm yet carrying an unshakable weight. The crimson mist thickened, swallowing his outline until only the crackling bolts of lightning made his figure visible. The ground around his feet began to break apart, thin cracks spreading outward as if the earth could no longer hold steady beneath him.

The atmosphere shifted completely. Every living being nearby could feel it pressing against their skin and bones, a force that demanded silence and attention. Some shivered, unable to understand what they were witnessing.

Others stared wide-eyed, holding their breath as though even a small sound would disturb the growing storm that Kael had become.

Dark tentacles burst out from Vale’s twisted body, writhing like snakes as they latched onto his severed legs, trying desperately to stitch them back together.

But no matter how hard they pulled, the flesh refused to mend. The failure only drove Vale deeper into madness, his screams echoing like the cry of a beast in unbearable pain. His voice cracked as he roared, "Kill... kill... slaughter everyone... kill!" The air around him shook with his insane howls, spreading a suffocating fear among the spectators.

Kael stood still, his sharp gaze locked on Vale. He wasn’t surprised anymore. He had already understood that the darkness within Vale was not a gift from the Gods.

It was something far more sinister, something planted inside him. Kael’s expression didn’t waver. He turned his head slightly, glancing at Edward in the distance. Edward’s voice came soft but firm, carrying an unshakable authority.

"Do it."

The words were enough.

Kael inhaled deeply and pulled his sword free. The steel gleamed as the crimson mist flickered along the blade. His tone was calm, cold, and final. "Let’s end this... for all."

Before the sword could strike, a sharp cry rang out. "No!" Elara leapt from behind, weaving a spell in desperation. The energy shot forward, aiming for Kael’s heart. But Kael wasn’t in the mood for hesitation.

With a flick of his wrist, his blade cut through the spell like paper, the force of the strike continuing onward and slamming into Elara. She was hurled across the ground with a brutal blast her cry fading as she landed hard in the dirt.

Kael didn’t spare her a glance. His eyes never left Vale. He stepped forward, the earth beneath him cracking apart from the weight of his aura.

In the blink of an eye, his figure blurred and vanished. The world seemed to freeze. Then, like a shadow tearing through space, Kael appeared directly behind Vale’s back. The audience gasped, unable to follow his movement. Confusion spread in the silence, hearts pounding as everyone held their breath.

And then it came.

The ground trembled violently as if the world itself was shattering. A thunderous cacophony rang out, glass-like echoes breaking one after another, layered with the sound of countless storms crashing down.

Kael ignored it all and put back his sword.

He slid his sword back into its sheath in a single smooth motion and spoke coldly.

"It’s over, you fucker."
