When the timelines collapse and history now bleeds into skyscrapers, the System decides who lives, who dies, and who gets recycled.
Now, The two worlds exists as one. The modern world, and the historical-fantasy world. One corrupting the other as beasts invaded them, causing both hatred and enmity towards another. After the Dimensional Rift, society is now run by chess-class ranks.
Or, if you're Elian Talon, you’re born a Pawn. The weakest, most disposable class.
He and his family were killed by his doppelgänger… but his System resurrects him. Now he must die again, and again, to evolve and survive.
Every death makes him stronger. Every pain unlocks a new layer of the truth.
The world is now rigged by Constellations who manipulate everything. And to survive, Elian must crawl from the gutter of the board to the top, facing Queens who are monsters, where King's are myths and Knights trained to kill trash like him on sight.
Until his system gave him a new quest.
[Kill the King of the White Piece.]
